Welcome to the James River Valley Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).

We are a small and vibrant chapter. What a great common bond to have, all direct descendants of American Revolutionary Patriots. We share the same common interests of our American heritage and history in genealogy record preservation and lineage research. One of the projects our chapter has engaged in is the photographing of gravesites in local cemeteries and recording them on Find-a-Grave. That is a lasting memorial to those who have come before us.

Some of our chapter activities include: volunteering for the Salvation Army, helping with a community coat drive, providing snacks and refreshments of American tradition for an adult education class, and participating in the Northern State University Gypsy Days Parade. We are constantly looking for other activities to serve our community.

We are a group of dreamers who wonder what our ancestors went through, what their lives were like and about the sacrifices they made. Their efforts and sacrifices were a real gift for all the generations to come.

DAR is looking for you!
